Connecting staff network drives in Windows

On RU owned computers the network drives are connected automatically. Should that not work e.g. if you are using að VPN connection or you are working on your own computer you can map the network drives manually. To do so you use the "Map network drive" button. You can locate that by right clicking on "My Computer". Here are the paths for the network drives at RU:

Staff home drive (N drive) - \\dfs.ru.is\staff\<Username>

Programs directory (J drive)- \\dfs.ru.is\forrit

Departmental drive (S drive)- \\dfs.ru.is\sameign

Groups directory (U drive) - \\dfs.ru.is\almanna

Staff web pages (P drive, not required by all) - \\vefur2\staffweb\<Username>
