Setting up a Color printer in Ubuntu 17.10 You need to install two packages from terminal first....
type : sudo apt install python3-smbc smbclient
Now you can add the printer...
Click on 'Additional printer settings' and then 'Add' in the second dialog

Apply..
You don't have to print a Test Page, but you can if you want.
